Doutzen Kroes is a Dutch supermodel, actress, and activist.

Born in the small town of the northern region of Friesland, Netherlands, Kroes rose to prominence as a fashion model, having worked with the industry’s most influential designers, photographers, and luxury houses.

She has been the subject of choice for Patrick Demarchelier, Inez & Vinoodh, Peter Lindbergh, Alasdair McLellan, Steven Klein, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, Mario Testino, Daniel Jackson, and Mario Sorrenti, amongst others. Her extensive cover resume spans the American, Italian, French, Japanese, German, Spanish and Dutch editions of Vogue, as well as Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, Porter, Numero, Marie Claire, and Glamour.

For over a decade, Kroes has served as a global beauty ambassador for cosmetic giant, L’Oreal Paris and was an “Angel” for Victoria’s Secret for seven years. Kroes has been the face of two Calvin Klein fragrances, Eternity and Reveal, and has appeared in international advertising campaigns for Tiffany &Co., Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Piaget, Balmain Gucci, Versace, Valentino, H&M, and Samsung.

In 2011, Kroes made her acting debut in Holland’s first-ever 3-D film, Nova Zembla. In 2017, Kroes appeared in the global box-office sensation Wonder Woman, as one of the Amazon warriors. Her philanthropic efforts include having been a vocal supporter of the Dutch non-profit, Dance4Life- a foundation educating young people about HIV and AIDS prevention through dance music.Kroes is also the global ambassador for #KnotOnMyPlanet and the Elephant Crisis Fund- a revolutionary new conservation fund which uses 100% of all donations to fund over 160 programs in 31 countries to fight poaching, ivory trafficking and raise awareness on the African elephant slaughter. Through strategic partnerships with brands including Tiffany & Co, Holt Renfew, and Loewe, Doutzen has raised over $3 million to support ECF.
